Getting the right size is key to making your press-ons look flawless and feel comfortable. Follow the steps below to measure your nail plate accurately at home.
What You’ll Need:
A flexible measuring tape (ideally for sewing) OR a piece of tape and a ruler
Pen or fine-tip marker
Good lighting
Clean, natural nails (remove any polish or enhancements first)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Option 1: Using a Measuring Tape
Place the measuring tape across the widest part of your natural nail plate — usually right across the middle.
Record the width in millimeters (mm) for each nail (thumb to pinky).
Repeat for all 10 fingers — your sizes may vary slightly between hands.
Option 2: Using Tape and a Ruler
Cut a small strip of clear tape.
Place it over your nail horizontally at the widest point.
Mark the edges of your nail on the tape with a pen or marker.
Remove the tape and place it on a ruler to measure the distance between the marks in millimeters (mm).
Record each measurement (thumb to pinky).
Submit Your Sizes
When ordering, you can enter your sizes in comments (e.g. thumb- 14mm, pointing finger- 8 mm , etc.)
✅ Pro Tips:
Measure both hands — some people have different sizes on each hand!
Don’t round down — always round up to the nearest millimeter for comfort.
